Barefoot University is an online discipleship program "For the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry" (Ephesians 4:12).
It is designed to help a wide range of people, from new believers who want to grow in their faith or deepen their walk with God, to those who want to understand the call of God on their lives and become effective in leadership or ministry.
Therefore, our aim in equipping you is to build a firm foundation of the Word in your life so that in all aspects of life you will be "A good minister of Jesus Christ" (1 Timothy 4:6).
Our part is to equip you, your part is to diligently study and apply what you have learned so that you will be effective in doing the work of ministry.
The Vision
Our vision is that every Christian is equipped to do the work of ministry for the glory of God.
We desire to equip you to serve God according to His unique call upon your life so you can fulfil the purposes of God in your generation.
As you catch this vision it will compel you with passion and purpose to complete your studies and to bring your ministry to its full expression.
We desire that ordinary people, individuals like yourself walk in their God-given identity, calling and gifting, and see the Kingdom of God come in power.
Every student can become a minister and a carrier of the glory of God into all spheres of influence!
The Method
All courses are based on a discipleship methodology which is simply following Jesus, learning from Him, and becoming like Him.
The courses are like a railway track, a single continuum of the discipleship process, designed to achieve the goal of spiritual maturity and effective ministry.
The content contains practical principles, which if applied to life conscientiously, will cause growth, fruitfulness, and maturity.
As you practice what you have learned, you will grow as disciples of Jesus and learn how to disciple and lead others.

The Charge
The command is clear, "Take heed to the ministry that you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfil it" (Colossians 4:17).
The phrase "take heed" was used for bringing a ship to land. Think of your life as a "ship of faith" moving toward your goal of discipleship, leadership development, or ministry preparation.
As a student, be resolutely determined to fulfil the duties and demands that have been entrusted to you by God, to carry them out faithfully, to perform them fully, and to fulfil the vision that the Lord has commissioned you to do.
We all need to take the Great Commission seriously, it is God's heart for the nations. His command to reach the lost, disciple the found, and build the Church, should be central to our lives.
